This site has no accounts, no sign-up form and no newsletter. Here is, exhaustively, what it knows about you.

What the server records

• The web server logs: for each page requested, the IP address, the time, the page and the browser name. They are used to detect failures and abuse (legitimate interest, art. 6-1-f GDPR) and are deleted after 30 days.
• A visit counter, which is just a number: it records neither who nor from where.

If you choose “My location”, your browser first asks for your permission. The coordinates are then rounded to about one kilometre before leaving your device, and sent to our server, which queries Open-Meteo (the forecast) and Nominatim (the place name) without your address. They are kept in memory for a few minutes only, never written. Your browser only remembers that you made this choice.

What your browser keeps

The site keeps in your browser (“local storage”, not a cookie) the display theme, the page language, the chosen city and the last bus line you looked at there, so as to reopen it for you. These settings never leave your device, are not read by the server, and are erased with your browser's site data. They are strictly necessary for the service you asked for, which is why no consent is requested.

Third parties

• Métropole Rouen Normandie (Astuce network) provides the timetables, the stops, the route shapes and the vehicle positions, under the Licence Ouverte 2.0 (Open Licence). OUR server is the one that asks for them, never your browser: the Métropole does not see you.
• IGN (Géoplateforme) provides the base map. The map images are loaded by YOUR browser directly from IGN, which therefore sees your IP address and the area you are looking at. This service asks for no account and no cookie.
• Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited) loads its ad script in your browser, which then passes it your IP address. See “Advertising” below.

Advertising

This site shows ads from Google AdSense. To serve them, Google and its partners may set cookies and read identifiers from your browser, in order to measure the audience and, if you accept, to personalise the ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, none of this is done without your consent: a consent banner, provided by Google, asks you on your first visit, and you may refuse. Clearing your browser's cookies brings the banner back.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase and object to the processing of data about you (articles 15 to 21 GDPR). Write to the publisher contact@rapidbus.fr. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
